Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald is a managing partner and physician provider for Nova Ortho and Spine.
Dr. Fitzgerald has more than 20 years of experience in the medical profession to include previously being a Respiratory Therapist, a Physician Assistant and ultimately a Physician (MD). In addition to his wealth of knowledge as a physician.
From 2018-2021 Dr. Fitzgerald was an administrator for the Top Hospital System in the United States as the In-Patient Medical Director. In this large system he was solely responsible for three Hospitals with a capacity of over 550 patients. He developed several programs to include a physician’s advisory platform that allowed the hospital system to work closely with private and Government Insurance.
This created a symbiotic relationship while improving care and revenue.
He served as the Chairman of Medicine, Professional Development Physician Champion, Operations Development, Financial Committee Member, Board of Trustees (voting member), and an Instructor for Career Development and Patient Advocacy.
Dr. Fitzgerald is currently Board Certified by the AAOPM for Procedural Medicine, Certified Traumatic Brain Injury Specialist, and a Life Care Planner for catastrophic injuries.
He has a Bachelorette of Science in Mass Communications from Towson University, 1997-2000. A Bachelorette of Science in Physician Assistant and a Masters of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University 2005-2007.
In 2013 completed a Medical Doctorate from IUHS and subsequently completed his residency at Beaumont Hospital / Oakland University in Detroit, MI. from 2013-2016, Dr. Fitzgerald also continues to serve in the Air National Guard as a senior officer in the position of Chief of Aerospace Medicine. With his experience and education Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald M.D. is a highly qualified member of the management and care team at Nova Ortho and Spine.
